As a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), we are fortunate to have special consideration when bidding on United States government contracts.  To our knowledge, UDS is the only SDVOSB manufacturer of door seal products in the United States.  We have a unique bidding position for government contracts in all military installations, such as barracks, base facilities, hangers and military family housing as well as other government buildings. 

In 2011, the U.S. President issued the Better Buildings Challenge to encourage energy efficiency in government buildings.  Our products are well-positioned to provide a valuable service to our nation; ultimately by saving tax dollars through reducing heating and cooling cost.

REAC INSPECTION

Affordable Housing and Housing Authorities: HUD has raised the standards for acceptable door seals.  Put simply, if inspectors see light from inside the dwelling, they may fail the door(s).  Improving door seals help to pass inspections by avoiding score reductions.  SDVOSB companies are eligible for sole source contracts and restricted competitions, (DID YOU KNOW:  You do not have to get 3 Bids or do a RFP to buy our products from us).  Any purchase under $100,000.00 or more include a clause, which requires the prime contractor to provide the maximum practicable opportunity to SDVOSBs to compete for subcontracts. Please click on HUDs website for their guidelines:  HUD's website for more information: 

The HDCDS-300 Series Door Seal Kit was installed on this door about 3 1/2 years ago, and the product still looks new.  We installed it at the Hogansville Housing Authority in Georgia.

Building code compliance for energy efficiency is important. Our products are designed to meet and improve your Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UCPS) and Housing quality Standard (HQS).  Also, we offer seals that meet standard fire ratings.
